
Meggan Ballowe, DVM
Dr. Ballowe is from a small rural town outside of Nashville, TN but grew up as an "army brat," living in several eastern US states and abroad. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and United States History in 1996. She earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2004. Dr. Ballowe has lived in Georgia for the last 15 years. She currently lives in Sandy Springs with her husband Jim, 5 year old son James, 4 year old daughter Beck, and 1 year year old daughter Evie. Three dogs, two cats, and numerous fish round out the Ballowe family. When not working, Dr. Ballowe enjoys spending time with family and friends, good food with good company, reading and sewing.
Ella Ahearn, DVM
Dr. Ahearn is a South Carolina native. She graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1993. Dr. Ahearn has practiced in the Atlanta area since graduating. She and Jack Petras bought the Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs in 2002 then, together with Dr. Ballowe, they opened Bridge Park Animal Hospital the summer of 2007. Dr. Ahearn lives in Brookhaven with her husband Tim, 6 year old son Weber, 4 year old daughter Frankie, 3 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys time at the beach, knitting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Kimberly Neff, DVM, CVC, CVA
Dr. Neff is a 2003 graduate of The University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). She was a full-time equine practitioner until 2008 when she decided to focus on traditional and alternative medicine for our smaller furry companions. A desire to relieve pain and to find solutions to her patients’ chronic conditions led Dr. Neff to seek additional training in veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic. She completed her acupuncture training at The Chi Institute and obtained certification in 2007. She trained at the Parker Chiropractic College and earned certification from the ACVA in 2008. Her broad training allows Dr. Neff to offer both traditional and alternative medical treatments that are the best balance for her patients and their owners.
Dr. Neff recently relocated to Northern Atlanta from Alabama with a large caravan that includes her husband James, four-year-old daughter, Sydney, two Jack Russell Terriers, one kitten, and one thoroughbred horse. When not being a veterinarian, mom, or wife, Dr. Neff enjoys riding horses and water sports.
Lisa Wright, DVM
Dr. Wright is a native of Sandy Springs. She graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 2003. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2008. Dr. Wright began working at the Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs with Dr. Ella Ahearn in 2008 and has recently joined the Bridge Park family. Dr. Wright lives in Smyrna with her husband Tyler and baby boy Ty (born December 2010). She enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with good friends, going to the lake, and spending time with her two Boston Terriers, Chap and Joely.
